Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy decided to chill out in a unique way as he took out some kids to train on the sea-side while on vacation in Senegal.

The 30-year-old has had an outstanding season for club and country, helping Senegal to a maiden Africa Cup of Nations title in February.

He was at his superlative best once again when Senegal defeated Egypt on penalties to book a World Cup spot in Qatar.

Mendy also played vital role in Chelsea's triumph in last year's UEFA Champions League as well as the Fifa Club World Cup in March.

However, further silverware eluded him after the Blues were beaten by Liverpool on penalties in both the Carabao and FA Cup finals.

With the 2021/22 season coming to an end last weekend, the Chelsea glovesman was spotted training with kids from his home country on the beach.

In a video posted on his official Twitter account, spotted by Sports Brief, the custodian was enjoying a session with the young lads as he takes them through goalkeeping drills.

He captioned his post: Training with the next generation of champs

Mendy finished the season fourth in the Premier League Golden Glove race after keeping 14 clean sheets, one behind Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris, with Manchester City’s Ederson and Liverpool’s Alisson sharing the award after managing 20 each.

Edouard Mendy Reacts After Senegal’s World Cup Qualification

Sports Brief earlier reported that Senegal and Chelsea shot-stopper Edouard Mendy has expressed his satisfaction following his country's qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Mendy was at his superlative best when Senegal crossed swords with Egypt for the third time in a space of two months for a spot in the forthcoming Mundial.

In a repeat of the 2021 AFCON finals, the Lions of Teranga edged the Pharaohs on penalties to qualify for their third World Cup.
