Liverpool are still in search of Sadio Mane’s replacement as the 30-year-old forward plans to end his six years stint with the Reds this summer.

The Reds will see their famous forward trio separated for the first time as Mane is seeking a new challenge as he enters the final year of his contract with the Merseyside club.

According to a report via the Daily Mail, Liverpool were lining up a big-money bid for Son Heung-min as either Mane or Salah’s replacement had Tottenham not made next season's Champions League.

The Reds’ interest appeared to have disintegrated as Tottenham finished in the top four in the Premier League which guarantees the North London club a slot in Europe’s elite club competition.

Jurgen Klopp had identified Son as a key summer target after the South Korean forward scored 23 goals in the league to win the Golden Boot award alongside Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah.

Virgil van Dijk sends heartfelt Liverpool message

Meanwhile, Liverpool fans and players have gotten over their UEFA Champions League final loss to Real Madrid on Saturday, May 28 in Paris.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Dutch center-back, Virgil van Dijk disclosed in an emotional message to the Reds supporters how much he was proud to be a part of the club.

The Liverpool players were given a rousing welcome by the club’s supporters during their open-top bus parade as they showcased their FA Cup and League Cup trophies won this season.

Four players who can replace Sadio Mane at Liverpool

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Liverpool are lining up some of the world’s best talents in attack to replace Sadio Mane, who is touted to be on his way out of Anfield.

The 30-year-old forward looks ready to end his six-year stay with Liverpool and could be joining Bundesliga champions, Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

Some players, including RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, have been lined up as possible Sadio Mane replacements at Liverpool.
