Manchester United has begun renovation work at the club’s Carrington training base following the complaints from superstar forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was reportedly so dissatisfied with Manchester United's training facilities that the 37-year-old couldn't believe the state in which the club's headquarters had been allowed to deteriorate.

According to a report via The Sun, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner complained about loose, chipped, and missing tiles within the swimming pools were a safety hazard and refused to use them.

Manchester United has ordered repairs to be carried out, especially in the pools, and for it to be ready before the commencement of pre-season.

The Red Devils also earmarked £200,000 for a new boiler system to be installed, while also continuing the facelift of their base by erecting new floodlights and a 500-seater stand.

Man United to give Erik ten Hag £120m for a squad overhaul

Meanwhile, Manchester United are not just rebuilding just their training ground; the Red Devils are also rebuilding their squad ahead of next season.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United will offer manager, Erik ten Hag at least £120m to strengthen the Red Devils’ playing squad in the summer transfer window.

The Dutch manager has however, been given the task of selling off fringe players in the United squad to generate more funds for their rebuilding process.

Man United cut ties with Ralf Rangnick permanently

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United have cut ties with Ralf Rangnick permanently after a troubled spell as the club's interim boss.

Rangnick took charge of the Red Devils back in December 2021, replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who had been sacked at the time.

The German boss was appointed on a temporary basis for the rest of the just-concluded 2021/22 season.
