Gallants have performed well during the tournament, knocking out the likes of Santos, Orlando Pirates, Baroka and TTM. Sundowns will be a different challenge, though, as the Chloorkop side are looking for a domestic clean sweep.

Ndlondlo admitted that Sundowns were favourites but said they were optimistic that they could defeat them, Sowetan LIVE reported.

“Last year we played the final and we won, this year we stand a chance of winning it again. It’s possible for us to win it again, it’s a great motivation for us to do it for the second time in a row,” he said.
“No one is giving us a chance. It’s good to have that, for the opponent it will be giving them pressure because they are the league champions and people expect them to win, he added.

While Ndlondlo is ready for the final, Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi is also preparing hard for Saturday's showdown.

Mngqithi wants Sundowns to improve their defence ahead of the final, IOL reported.
