Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is ready to marry his childhood sweetheart after proposing while on a postseason holiday in California.
The 24-year-old got down on one knee for his long-time girlfriend Lucia Loi on Wednesday.
In a photo posted on Instagram, spotted by Sports Brief, Rashford embraced his girlfriend as they stood atop a bed of white roses in front of a heart-shaped display.
Rashford and Lucia, both aged 24, have been dating since they were pupils at Ashton on Mersey School in Greater Manchester, according to Daily Mail.
Per the Sun, Rashford had been planning the proposal for weeks and he finally popped the question to Lucia at a lavish villa after they shared a romantic meal at celebrity seafood restaurant Catch LA.
Rashford captioned the post on Instagram, which was also shared on Lucia's profile.
Rashford and Lucia have been in a relationship since they were 15-years-old.
But after eight years together, they split in May last year, blaming the pandemic and lockdown pressures.
They reunited in January this year.
