  • Chelsea fans express their rage and anger after Cristian Pulisic failed to convert numerous opportunities in their game against Leicester City
  • Pulisic was at fault on a number of occasions with his poor finishing and Thomas Tuchel withdrew him in the 72nd minute for Cesar Azpilicuuueta
  • On the bright side, Chelsea virtually confirmed the third spot with the stalemate and Watford’s game on Sunday will just be a mere formality

Chelsea fans made their frustrations on Cristian Pulisic after the winger missed a couple of chances on Thursday night. Chelsea played out to a one-all draw with Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.

It is a game many Chelsea fans will feel they should have won had Pulisic converted his chances. The American missed a sitter with an empty net staring at him after some nice neat football from Romelu Lukaku and Reece James.

James Maddison had given Leicester the lead in the 7th minute with a rasping shot outside the box. Marcos Alonso equalized for the Blues shortly before halftime with a half volley.

Thomas Tuchel’s side had the better chances to kill off the game in the second half but profligacy in front of goal cost his team once again.

And the Chelsea faithful didn’t hold back.

@Howayn tweeted

I genuinely can’t stand Pulisic, he makes me aggressive

@Lxpard said

Pulisic is even more frustrating to watch than Willian back in the days. He’d be at a midtable German team if he wasn’t American

@Chels_HQ added

Goodness gracious…people still defend Pulisic’s finishing. Horrific.

@BisratAfework said

I don’t understand how anyone still rates Pulisic. He could score a hattrick today and I’d still stand by it.

@CFCFelix didn’t mince his/her words either

Hopefully, that’s Pulisic’s last game for the club. Play the youth vs Watford and sell him in the summer.

The draw means that Chelsea are now assured to finish in third place unless Tottenham can beat Norwich City by an excess of 18 goals on Sunday and Chelsea lose to Watford. That is, not entirely impossible, but highly unlikely to happen.

Eintracht Frankfurt Equals Chelsea’s Impressive Record in the UEFA Europa League

Sports Brief had previously reported German side Eintracht Frankfurt equalled Chelsea’s impressive record of scoring in every Europa League game in a season. Frankfurt beat Rangers on post-match penalties to lift their first-ever Europa League crown.

By doing so, Frankfurt became the only second side in history to score in every game of the competition. Chelsea did so in the 2018-2019 season en route to winning the Europa League.
