FootballCádiz Welcomes La Liga Champions Real Madrid Needing to Produce Upset Result to Avoid Relegation Worries

- Real Madrid thumped Levante 6-0 in their last La Liga encounter and will look to continue that impressive form
- Real Madrid will rest some of their big-name players for the clash as they think about the Champions League final
The penultimate round of La Liga Santander fixtures will see champions Real Madrid battle a relegation-threatened Cádiz outfit.
Cádiz are just two points above the relegation zone with two games to go and will be hoping to pick up a good result against a rampant Los Blancos outfit.
While Cádiz have a tough ask against the dominant champions, they will also hope that Mallorca doesn’t beat Real Vallecano. Mallorca could climb out of the relegation zone at the expense of Cádiz with a win if Cádiz were to lose to Los Blancos.
Previous results between Real Madrid and Cádiz
Cádiz secured a 0-0 draw against Los Blancos in the reverse fixture earlier this season. Cádiz also beat Madrid last season, The Real Champs reported. They haven’t had the best record at home, though, as Real Madrid won the previous two visits to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.
Form coming into the game
Real Madrid have lost only one game in their last five La Liga encounters and come off a 6-0 victory over Levante. Unfortunately, the win also saw Levante relegated, and Madrid could condemn Cádiz to a similar fate today. Cádiz have picked up two wins, two draws and a loss in their last five games.
Injury concerns for Real Madrid and Cádiz
As reported by Sports Mole, Cádiz will be without Varazdat Haroyan and Ivan Alejo. David Alaba, Isco, Gareth Bale and Marcelo are all out through injury but Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos and Eden Hazard are back in contention for a starting place. Carlo Ancelloti continues to change his team as he rests key players at crucial times ahead of the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool.

Rampant Real Madrid score scintillating 6 against Levante UD at Santiago Bernabéu in La Liga Santander
Real Madrid may be La Liga Santander champions, but that doesn’t mean they’re taking the foot off the pedal. Los Blancos didn’t even feel sorry for Levante UD, a team needing a win to keep their hopes of avoiding relegation alive.
Madrid thumped Levante 6-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu thanks to a hattrick from Vinícius Júnior and goals from Ferland Mendy, Karim Benzema and Rodygro. Luka Modrić was in excellent form in the midfield for Madrid, notching up three assists.
Levante keeper Daniel Cárdenas saved his side's blushes, producing numerous saves and keeping the scoreline in single digits. The duo of Benzema and Vinícius Júnior stole the show, though, as they produced another masterclass.
