Premier League side Aston Villa are reportedly turning their attention to Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey with the target of luring him to England in the summer.
Those in charge of the Premier League side are said to have been monitoring Calvin Bassey since the beginning of the season and they have been impressed with his games at Rangers.
According to the report on Complete Sports, Steven Gerrard who is the gaffer of Aston Villa feels Calvin Bassey will be an advantage to his squad next season and wants his signature.
When did Calvin Bassey join Rangers?
Calvin Bassey joined Rangers in 2020 from Leicester City academy and he has so far played 34 games for the Scottish giants.
With one game remaining to end the season in Scotland, Calvin Bassey and his teammates are occupying second position on the League table with 86 points and 4 behind leaders Celtic.
In the Super Eagles, Calvin Bassey has played two games for the Super Eagles and he is expected to be in action for Nigeria in the coming friendly games against Mexico and Ecuador.
