English-born Ghanaian forward, Eddie Nketiah could sign for Premier League club West Ham United in the summer transfer window.
The in-form striker is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season but his recent performances have encouraged the Gunners to keep hold of him.
However, Daily Mail reports that West Ham are in pole position to sign Nketiah, with David Moyes desperate to add more fire power to his attack.
Arsenal are offering Nketiah opportunities in the first team at the moment, but they are expected to sign a new first choice striker over the summer.
Mikel Arteta highlighted the need for Nketiah to stay on and sign a new deal, saying that everyone at the club adores his attitude.
‘Well he [Nketiah] is doing what he has done all season, when he’s been sitting on the bench or sat at home – this boy doesn’t change that’s why we adore him,' Arteta said after the win over Leeds, quoted by Metro Sports.
‘Now, he has the right empowerment and the right personnel around him and he can be judged for what he does on the pitch.’
Nketiah has been in a rich vein of form, leading Arsenal's quest for a good finish in the English Premier League and a place UEFA Champions League next season.
The hardworking forward has scored four goals in his last four matches, including a brace against Chelsea in the London Derby.
He was the hero for Arsenal last Sunday after netting a quick-fire brace in the victory over Leeds United.

The 22-year-old has reportedly secured his Ghanaian passport as the move to represent the African giants enters its final stages.
According to 442GH.com, the England U21 all-time top scorer has decided to play for Ghana at international level after receiving his passport.
