Erling Haaland could be living a luxury lifestyle just weeks after penning a deal to join English Premier League champions, Manchester City.
The Norwegian forward has agreed to a deal in principle to join Pep Guardiola’s team ahead of next season and is expected to earn at least £500,000 per week as his salary.
According to a report via the Daily Star, Haaland will automatically become the highest-paid player in the Premier League and can easily afford a private island to call his own in Honduras if the need arises.
The 21-year-old forward can easily buy an island at the Black Rock Cay Guanaja in Honduras selling for £1.135million with just a few weeks’ wages.
Haaland is regarded as one of the world’s best center-forwards and will be a great addition to the Manchester City side who are desperate to win a Champions League trophy.
Haaland snubbed Real Madrid over release clause
Meanwhile, fans of Real Madrid will be disappointed to hear the reason Erling Haaland will not be joining the Galacticos next season.
According to Goal, Real Madrid missed out on signing Haaland because they refused to accept agent Mino Raiola's demands for a €150 million release clause.
Raiola wanted that the release clause be activated as early as the second year of his contract, but Madrid refused, causing negotiations to break down.
