Kevin-Prince Boateng's has replied former Germany international Lothar Matthäus for his comments about the Ghana's performance for Hertha Berlin against Mainz 05.

The 34-year-old played 67 minutes before he was replaced by Maximillian Mittelstadt as Hertha Berlin lost to Mainz and are now in danger of getting relegated.

After the game, the Ghana international fired back at Matthäus, claiming he thinks he knows everything.

The defeat over the weekend means Hertha Berlin need at least a point in their final game of the season against Borussia Dortmund to survive.

Kevin-Prince Boateng joined Hertha Berlin last summer from Italian Serie B side AC Monza, having left the German club 14 years ago.
