Nketiah scored two goals in the first half for Arsenal as they recorded a 2-1 victory over relegation-threatened side Leeds United.
The 22-year-old struggled to nail down a first-team place at Arsenal until recently when Mikel Arteta drafted him into his starting line-up.
Nketiah has started Arsenal’s last four Premier League victories, scoring four goals in the process which will have caught the eye of potential suitors.
With his contract running out this summer, Arteta is eager to keep the English-born of Ghanaian descent in his squad for many more years.
However, former Liverpool defender Carragher has urged the striker to move on if he wants to become the main man.
Speaking on Sky Sports, quoted by Metro Sports, the Champions League winner said:
‘Yes (Arsenal should try to keep him) but I don’t think he’ll ever end up first-choice striker, so I think it would be better for him to move on.’
