  • Norwich City are investigating on-loan Manchester United player Brandon Williams after the fullback’s Instagram post was deleted
  • Williams made his Red Devils debut in the 2019/20 season, but he was cut from the team the following season and sent on loan to Norwich
  • The fullback is set to return to Manchester United after the end of the season after Norwich got relegated from the Premier League

Brandon Williams could be in trouble with the authorities at Norwich Football club following an offensive Instagram story posted by the fullback.

The 21-year-old Manchester United loanee has been one of the standout players for the Canaries this season, but his brilliant performances could not prevent the club from getting relegated.

According to a report via Sport Bible, Norwich are said to be looking into his social media activity, after Williams posted a photo with his middle finger showing with the caption, "What a beautiful day. Easy up Norwich City."

The strange post was quickly removed from his Instagram story and replaced with a couple of slides about his two dogs.

It is unclear if the club will take any drastic steps in punishing the Manchester United loanee as the 21-year-old defender prepares to return to his parent club following the relegation of Norwich from the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag to give opportunities to Brandon Williams next season

Meanwhile, Brandon Williams could have a chance to resurrect his Manchester United career next season when he returns to Old Trafford from his loan spell at Norwich.

According to a report via Stretty News, Erik ten Hag is a big fan of Brandon Williams and wants to give the 21-year-old a chance to take the left-back spot at Manchester United next season.

Williams is considered as one of the future bright stars at Manchester United and the club still reckons he has a future at Old Trafford.

Premier League outfit relegated to Championship for record sixth time

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Norwich City have been relegated from the Premier League for a record sixth time after a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa park.

That result, coupled with Burnley’s emphatic 2-1 win over Watford, meant the Canaries cannot mathematically climb out of the relegation zone.

It proved to be an unhappy return to Villa Park for Norwich boss Dean Smith, who could not stop his new team from succumbing to goals from Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings.
