Highly Rated Ghanaian Teen Makes First Start in the Scottish Premier League For Dundee United

Talented Ghanaian teenager, Mathew Anim Cudjoe started for the first time in a game for Dundee United in Scotland in their match against giants Rangers.

The 18-year-old Ghana U20 star played 56 minutes at Ibrox Park before he was replaced by Nicky Clark as Dundee United suffered defeat to the Europa League finalist.

Mathew Anim Cudjoe joined Dundee United in November 2021, but had to gradually bid for time to make a first team appearance.

The highly-rated youngster impressed head coach Tam Courts and looks poised to finish the campaign on a good note.

The Ghana youth international starred for the Black Satellites as the U20 team won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021.

His performances at the tournament earned him the move to Scotland.

Mathew Anim Cudjoe suffers defeat on his first start for Dundee United

The teen sensation's first start for Dundee United ended in defeat as Rangers cruise to a 2-0 victory at Ibrox Park.

The Europa League finalist had to wait till the 55th minute to open the scoring through James Tavernier from the spot.

With 12 minutes remaining, Ivorian teen and Manchester United loanee Amad Diallo doubled the lead to seal victory for Rangers and keep the pressure on Celtic.

Dundee United sign Ghana U20 star Mathew Anim Cudjoe

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that 25,000 Euros-rated Ghanaian teenager, Mathew Anim Cudjoe's services have been acquired by Scottish Premier League side Dundee United, for an undisclosed fee.

The three-year deal, to be completed upon granting of a work permit by UK authorities, was announced on Dundee's website on Wednesday.

Sporting director of Dundee Tony Asghar told the club website that Cudjoe was an exciting talent that would improve the club's attacking arsenal.
