Manchester United interim boss, Ralf Rangnick, has apologised to the fans following his side's 4-0 humiliation against Brighton on Saturday, May 7.
United were unable to build on their 3-0 win over Brentford last weekend as they were humbled at the Amex Stadium.
Brighton scored all four goals within the first 60 minutes of the match, with three of those coming in the first 15 minutes of the first half.
Moises Caicedo broke the deadlock in the 15th minute of the encounter before Marc Cucurella doubled the advantage in the 49th minute.
Pascal Gross and Leandro Trossard scored in a space of three minutes to condemn United to a humiliating loss.

Speaking after the match, Rangnick apologised to the Man United fanbase for his side's poor showing.
The German tactician admitted his charges were far from their best, describing their performance as "extremely poor."
“It’s important that we apologise to our supporters who came all the way from Manchester to Brighton," he said as quoted by The Sun.
“We were just not good enough from start to finish. The performance was not only poor, it was extremely poor," he added.
However, he was quick to defend the players for loss, insisting that the defeat does not put into question their commitment to the club.
