Nigerian Football chiefs have been fined the sum of $150,000 by the world's football governing body for the invasion of fans at the MKO Abiola stadium after the match against Ghana.

Nigeria last month lost the chance to feature at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after been forced to 1-1 draw by Ghana in the second leg of their play-offs.

The Super Eagles played goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi with the hope that they would get the job done in Abuja, but they lost the ticket.

And after the match, fans who were at the stadium stormed the pitch out of anger and destroyed some properties.

According to the report on Complete Sports, FIFA chiefs were not happy with how the NFF chiefs failed to control the fans at the stadium.

FIFA's statement about Nigeria

''Failure to implement existing safety rules and failure to ensure that law and order are maintained in the stadium, invasion of the field of play and throwing of objects.''

Also, FIFA ruled that the Nigeria vs Sierra Leone game will be played behind closed doors.

Iheanacho Scores Wonder Goal as Leicester City Get Disappointing Result Against Tottenham

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho on Sunday evening, May 1, scored a brilliant goal for Leicester City, but his effort was not enough to save his club from suffering a loss at Spurs.

Tottenham players knew before the start of the game that a win would be of great help for them in their quest to finish among the top four on the Premier League table this season.

They however started the Premier League match impressively and scored their first goal in the 22nd minute through super striker Harry Kane.

Leicester City changed their style of play after conceding the first goal against Spurs, but the first half ended with the home team leading 1-0.
