Chelsea Identify Versatile PSG Defender Who Will Replace Antonio Rudiger

Chelsea have reportedly included Paris Saint-Germain defender, Presnel Kimpembe, in their shortlist of potential players to replace Antonio Rudiger this summer.

The Blues have prioritised the strengthening of their backline during the upcoming transfer window, with the club set to lose a number of defenders.

Metro UK reports Rudiger is among a host of players projected to depart the Stamford Bridge side, with Real Madrid believed to have struck a deal to sign the Germany international on a free transfer.

Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta are also believed to be on the verge of leaving ahead of a proposed transfer move to Barcelona.

The potential departure of the trio has handed Thomas Tuchel a fresh headache even as he plots to lead the Blues to more titles next season.

Chelsea keen on signing Presnel Kimpembe

According to Goal, Chelsea are now keeping tabs on PSG defender, Kimpembe, and could bring him to the Premier League.

The West Londoners are said to be keen to reunite the France international with Thiago Silva at the heart of Chelsea's defence.

Kimpembe, who came through the ranks at PSG had a formidable partnership with Silva during the veteran defender's time at Parc des Princes.

A move to Stamford Bridge will also see the 26-year-old play under Tuchel one more time having featured for the German tactician for two-and-a-half years at PSG.

Kimpembe has been a mainstay figure in Mauricio Pochettino's team this season and played a central role in PSG's journey to Ligue 1 championship.

Rangnick discloses Ronaldo is not leaving Man United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has revealed Cristiano Ronaldo will not be leaving the club as projected.

According to the tactician, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner will remain at the club beyond this season.

Ronaldo, who has a year left on his current deal at the club has widely been linked with a summer exit.
