  • Tottenham on Sunday evening, May 1, defeated Leicester City 3-1 in a Premier League game which was tough
  • Harry Kane scored the first goal for Spurs while Son added two more before Nigerian star Iheanacho pulled one back
  • Iheanacho is expected to be in action for the Super Eagles in their coming friendly ties against Mexico and Ecuador

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho on Sunday evening, May 1, scored a brilliant goal for Leicester City, but his effort was not enough to save his club from suffering a loss at Spurs.

Tottenham players knew before the start of the game that a win would be of great help for them in their quest to finish among the top four on the Premier League table this season.

They however started the Premier League match impressively and scored their first goal in the 22nd minute through super striker Harry Kane.

Leicester City changed their style of play after conceding the first goal against Spurs, but the first half ended with the home team leading 1-0.

When did Tottenham score their two other goals?

Son Heung-min scored a brace for Tottenham in the 60th and 79th minute before Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back at the death as the game ended 3-1 according to the report on Vanguard.

As things stand now on the Premier League table, Tottenham are occupying fifth position and they are in the race with Arsenal for the top four finish.

Osimhen, Chukwueze score for their clubs as Moses Simon nets brace

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles attackers Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and Samuel Chukwueze found the back of the net for their various clubs in Europe.

While Chukwueze got the consolation goal in Villarreal's 2-1 loss to relegation-threatened Alaves, Osimhen grabbed a goal and assist in Napoli's 6-1 thumping of Sassuolo.

On the other hand, Moses Simon grabbed a first-half brace as Nantes surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 away to Lens.

Osimhen scored his 13th league goal of the season for Napoli as they returned to winning ways in Italy's Serie A following their 3-2 loss to Empoli last week.

With the goal, Osimhen equalled his 13-goal return scored in his only season in Lille.

The 23-year-old star rose highest to convert a corner by Lorenzo Insigne in the 15th minute to double Napoli's lead.
