Ghana's safest pair of hands Jojo Wollacott has revealed ex-Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart as his biggest inspiration while growing up.
Wollacott has been in impressive form for both club and country and has been shortlisted for Swindon Town's Player of the Season award, a testament to his purple patch this campaign.
The 25-year-old bounced back from a dismal performance at the 2021 AFCON to play an instrumental role in Ghana's qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and has since become a cult hero in the West African nation.
In an interview with Accra-based radio station Happy FM, the Swindon Town custodian disclosed how he developed his love for goalkeeping by studying former England No.1 Joe Hart.
"As a goalkeeper growing up in the UK I use to watch Joe Hart of Manchester City and he is my role model," he concluded.
The 25-year-old has kept 11 clean sheets in 37 appearances so far in the league for his team.
