Former Nigeria international Sunday Oliseh believes England-born Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah has the potential of becoming Arsenal's next big star.

Nketiah, who has been on the fringes at Arsenal, stole the headlines in the Gunners' shock win over Chelsea last Wednesday with the 22-year-old bagging a brace.

In a post on Twitter, spotted on Sports Brief, Oliseh expressed his joy in watching Nketiah play stressing his attributes which he reckons could help him attain superstar status at the north London outfit.

Although he could not add to his brace against Chelsea, Nketiah helped the Gunners seal a crucial 3-1 win over Manchester United to Arsenal's top-four ambitions intact.

With his contract running out at the conclusion of this season, Nketiah's brace has brought him into first-team action and could renew his stay at Arsenal considering the near departure of Alexandre Lacazette.

With his international football career also hanging in the balance, Eddie Nketiah is caught in a conundrum with both Ghana and his country of birth battling to lure him to the national team level.

He has been with Arsenal since 2017 after joining the Gunners from Chelsea's youth team has featured in 53 games netting 7 goals so far.

Arsenal coach admits he has not been fair with Eddie Nketiah

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has admitted that he hasn't treated Eddie Nketiah well at the Emirates following his brilliant form netting brace against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The Gunners were on Wednesday night, 20 April, impressive in the Premier League game against Chelsea beating the Stamford Bridge landlords 4-2 in what was a tough battle.

Defensive errors caused Chelsea some goals in this Premier League encounter against Arsenal and the win has now given the Gunners some hope of qualifying for the Champions League.
