In October 2019, Granit Xhaka had issues with Arsenal fans after he was booed in a Premier League match against Crystal Palace and he responded to the Gunners' faithfuls.

He was subsequently stripped of his captaincy duties by Unai Emery and exiled from the manager's plans after the incident.

But a month later, Unia Emery was sacked as the Arsenal coach.

According to the report on GOAL, Granit Xhaka explained that he is ready to continue helping Arsenal in all competitions.

Granit Xhaka's reaction

"After the season I still have two years contract here. I will give everything until I'm at this football club. I always say that. I didn't sign a new contract to be here for - enjoy my time and that's it.
"No, no, I want to achieve something with this club, something special. Before that, I don't leave."

Barca plot move for another Arsenal star months after they snapped up Aubameyang

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Barcelona are plotting a summer move for Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes.

Magalhaes signed for the Gunners from Lille in 2020 and has gone on to become an important squad player for Mikel Arteta.

The Brazilian defender has formed a solid partnership with Ben White at the heart of Arsenal's defense, and the duo is expected to play a key role in Arsenal's top-four push.

However, barely two years after he moved to the Emirates, the Brazil international could be on his way out as Barcelona circles in.
