Man Utd drop out of top three as 10 richest clubs are revealed

Premier League club Manchester United have dropped out of the top three in the new list of top 10 richest clubs according to finance experts Deloitte, SunSport reports.
Latest findings show that the pandemic has affected football clubs across the globe financially as £1.05bn was knocked off income for the leading 20 European clubs last year.
According to Deloitte, TV revenues will be impacted in 2021 as well as fans are not expected back in the stands until next season.
Top analyst Dan Jones who partners with the Sports Business Group at Deloitte, said:
“There is no doubt that this is one of the most testing times the football industry has ever had to endure.
“While no football club has been immune to the challenges of Covid-19, and other clubs have suffered more in relative terms, those in the Money League have borne the greatest financial impact in absolute value terms.
“In this year’s edition, the top 20 clubs generated an average of £363m per club, a decline of £49m compared to 2018-19.”
Spanish club Barcelona have seen their income drop another £111.5m remain the richest club as they are valued at £627.1m, less than £200,000 ahead of bitter rivals Real Madrid.
But United’s £119.1m fall, to £509m - a consequence of missing out on the Champions League - saw them drop below Bayern Munich into fourth place, although the Old Trafford club were still English football’s highest earner.
Meanwhile, Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has scored more goals and achieved more goal involvements than any other Premier League player since he arrived.
The Portuguese who joined the Red Devils on transfer deadline day in January 2020 from Sporting Lisbon has practically made the English top-flight his own.
Since his arrival, United have completely transformed as they now sit in first position on the PL standings and Fernandes has contributed heavily for the success so far.
However, Legit.ng earlier reported that fans have voted for players to make-up Premier League team of the season with no member of the Liverpool squad making the squad.
The English top-flight season is already half-way gone and fans of the platform have voted for the stand out performers so far.
Despite winning the title in spectacular fashion last season, Liverpool have had a bad start to this season as they now find themselves in fourth position.
