It was all joy as legendary Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan met other African football legends in Liberia for the inauguration of the Invincible Sports Park in Monrovia.
The former Ghana captain was invited by Liberia President George Oppong Weah to witness the unveiling of the newly-built sports complex on Friday, April 15, 2022.
In photos posted on Facebook, spotted by Sports Brief, the former Sunderland striker was all smiles as he met up with some African football icons in Liberia.
Other football icons invited include former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, Senegalese and former Liverpool striker El Hadji Diouf and Nigerian football icon J.J Okocha.
Zambia’s Kalusha Bwalya, Samuel Eto, Didier Drogba, Sekou Coulibaly, Alian Guamini Yousouf Fofana and Rocky Russell are the other legends who graced the occasion.
The Invincible Sports Park is a newly sports center built by the government of Liberia. The newly built sports park has of three football pitches, two basketball courts, a tennis court and a volleyball court.
The project which started in February 2021 aims at developing sports in Liberia and its completion is seen as a huge relief to the people of Liberia.
Gyan Meets Other African Legends at Inauguration of Senegal’s New Stadium
Sports Brief earlier reported that former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has expressed delight after meeting legends of African football at the unveiling of Senegal's newly-built stadium.
The 36-year-old, who is yet to hang up his boots, played for African legends in their game against Senegal's former players at the inauguration of the stadium in Diamniadio.

Meanwhile, Asamoah Gyan had no hesitation in naming his stunner at Wembley as the greatest goal he has ever scored.
The former Sunderland striker scored a spectacular goal to deny the Three Lions of England a win in a friendly match against the Black Stars of Ghana in 2011.
It was Ghana’s first-ever game against England and the West African side proved their worth as they denied the British a win in an entertaining match.
