  • United will have another trophy-less season, and the team’s top four hopes still hang in the balance
  • The supporter group known as ‘The1958’, want to stand outside Old Trafford for 17 minutes as the Norwich game is being played

Manchester United fans are planning to stage protests against the club owners ahead of the clash against Norwich City.

United is currently in shambles, and the state of the club was summed up after a lowly defeat to Everton over the weekend.

The club’s top-four hopes continue to slip away, while the Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid confirmed another trophy-less season for the Red Devils.

According to a report on Sunsport, a supporter group called ‘The 1958’ is rallying up fans to make their feelings on the Glazers known this weekend.

How the protest will work is simple – the fans will hold a march and once the game against Norwich kicks off, they will stand at Old Trafford for 17 minutes to mark the number of years the Glazers have owned the club.

The last time a similar protest was held was in April 2021, when fans came out to angrily protest the club’s involvement in plans to have a European Super League.

"Nothing will change until the head of the snake is removed. It's rotten and starts from the top down like any other business.” The fan group said in a statement.
"The club is a mess so we need to act and raise awareness again.
“Bring your colours, banners, flags and flares. We need you; we need each other, we need everyone to put aside their differences. Some things are worth fighting for…"

Meanwhile, Manchester United continue their search for a new manager, with current Ajax boss Erik Ten Haag remaining as one of the favourites to take over from Ralf Rangnick.

Anthony Martial dumped by wife

Elsewhere, on-loan Manchester United forward Anthony Martial continues to struggle on and off the pitch as it was recently reported that his wife Melanie Da Cruz has dissolved their marriage.

Martial is said to have cheated when Melanie Da Cruz was eight months pregnant.

Due to lack of active playing time at Old Trafford, Manchester United chiefs sent Anthony Martial to Sevilla on loan till the end of the season and has so far played seven games.
