- The FC Nantes attacker insists the Black Stars have to approach their Group H games with caution after drawing Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea
- Osman Bukari reveals Ghana is focused on getting a good tournament in Qatar and are looking beyond big names like Cristiano Ronaldo
France-based Ghana winger Osman Bukari says the Black Stars needs to develop a cautious approach to navigate their way through a difficult World Cup group in Qatar later this year.
The four times African champions in their fourth World Cup appearance have been drawn in Group H alongside European heavyweight Portugal, former champions Uruguay and South Korea.
Bukari, who plays for FC Nantes in France, reveals the team is focused on making it out of the group, but insists they have to be careful.
“We all know the group we find ourselves in, it's a difficult group but the good thing is that we’ve played between all the teams,” Nantes winger Bukari told Wontumi FM as quoted by Goal.
“We’ve played Portugal and everyone knows what’s between us and Uruguay.
“We just have to be careful in our group because it is not an easy group. All the teams in there are good so it is up to us to do the right thing."
The Black Stars last defeat at the global showpiece was against Portugal, with five-time Ballon D'or winner Cristiano Ronal scoring the goal that eliminated the West Africans from the 2014 World Cup.
“We are not thinking about Ronaldo, we are concentrating on ourselves. Frankly speaking, the group is difficult," added Bukari.
Osman Bukari played in the two-legged play-off against Nigeria as Ghana edged the Super Eagles to make a return to the World Cup after missing the 2018 edition.
