Man United reach agreement with Eric ten Hag

According to ESPN, United have already reached an agreement with Ten Hag, paving way for the Dutchman to officially be unveiled at Old Trafford.

Reports claim the decision to settle on Ten Hag was not an easy one, with the United board believed to have been divided on who is ideal for the role between the Ajax boss and Pochettino.

However, Ten Hag appears to have beaten Pochettino to the lucrative job and he is in line to be announced, with ESPN claiming chief executive Richard Arnold and joint-chairman Joel Glazer are in agreement the former is the right man for the job.

Eric ten Hag speaks on dumping Ajax

Only recently Ten Hag publicly spoke on his possible exit from Ajax, admitted that he hoped the Dutch club would understand if he opted to swap them for United.

"My focus is currently only on Ajax, but in football, you never know. I don’t want to rule anything out," he said.
"I know that everything in football can change from one day to the next. If at some point I should decide to take the next step, I hope that people here will understand," he added.

Pogba's contract with Man United is set to expire at the end of the season, with talks over a new one currently ongoing.

PSG are said to be keen to take advantage of the midfielder's contract situation and convince him to swap Old Trafford for Parc des Princes this summer.
