Sunday Oliseh has been reportedly identified as the possible replacement for Austin Eguavoen to handle the Super Eagles following the team's failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
Recently, the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) dismissed the Super Eagles coaching crew headed by Eguavoen and they are planning to name another coach for the three-times African champions.
Coach Eguavoen led the Super Eagles to the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon where the Nigerian side were eliminated in the knockout losing against Tunisia.
The NFF chiefs still kept their fate in Eguavoen and allowed the former international to lead the Super Eagles in the World Cup play-offs against Ghana in which the Black Stars qualified.
According to the report on Owngoal, Nigeria's sports minister Sunday Dare is interested in NFF hiring Sunday Oliseh as next coach and they will have meeting on it.
