Ben Davies, Matt Doherty, Son Heung-Min, Emerson Royal, and Steven Bergwijin were all on target for Antonio Conte's side, with Fabian Schar scoring Newcastle's consolation.

West Ham, meanwhile, sunk relegation-threatened Everton 2-1 at the London Stadium to keep their Champions League dreams alive.

Aaron Creswell and Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net for the Hammers, with Mason Holgate's goal for the Toffees being rendered a mere consolation.

How the top-four battle is shaping up

Spurs; huge victory at home fired them to fourth on the log with 54 points, with Arsenal, who still have two matches in hand dropping to fifth.

West Ham, meanwhile, currently sixth with 51 points after 31 rounds of fixtures, with Man United dropping to seventh at the end of the weekend.

United will now be looking to make amends when they take on Everton in their next Premier League fixture.
