In 2010, Mourinho, when he was coach of Real Madrid, infuriated the governing body of UEFA again after he ordered two of his players to get sent off in a Champions League game.
According to a report via Sport Bible, Mourinho was caught telling Sergio Ramos and Xabi Alonso to deliberately get sent off in their 4-0 victory against Ajax.
With Real Madrid already into the next round with a game to spare in the group stages, Mourinho wanted both players to serve a one-match suspension in their final group game so as to have a clean record in the knockout phase.
The move, however, would incur the wrath of UEFA officials. Mourinho was handed a touchline ban with Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos fined €20,000 for their involvement.
