According to Give Me Sport, the 34-year-old was not born with a 'silver spoon', but now his name will go down in history as one of the greatest footballers, thanks to hard work and perseverance.
Ronaldo visited his old residence with his first son, Cristiano Jr, in a bid to pass across to him correct mentality — having being born into affluence.
The 34-year-old took his son on the journey back to the beginning to show the young man his humble genesis and also to teach the virtue of hard work and dedication.

"I was so excited for him to see where I grew up," the 34-year-old informed TVI. "He already knew Madeira and the Marques de Pombal residence.

"He went up with me and there were still some of the same people who had lived there at the time. I was moved, if I am honest, because I didn't expect to see those people, and that touched me a bit.
"I went with Paixao and Cristianinho and we entered the room where I had stayed. My son turned to me and said: ‘Papa. Did you live here?' He could not believe it.

"They think everything is easy in this world. The quality of life, the houses, the cars, the clothes… They think that it all just falls into their lap.
"That is what I try to instill in my son, including when I do events in schools. I try to convey that these things don't come with having talent alone.
"But with hard work and dedication I think you can achieve everything you want to do."
According to the publication, Cristiano Jr should be able to take a queue from his father after that trip to where he grew up from.
His impressive goal-scoring ratio continues to wow his fans — having shown he could conquer in any league he finds himself.
