Algeria had a poor Africa Cup of Nations after they were booted out of the tournament at the group stages, failing to win a single game.

The Desert Foxes will be hoping to regain the confidence of their Algerian fans by qualifying for the tournament in Qatar later this year.

Earlier this year, Algeria won the Arab Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

Algeria booted out of AFCON

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions Algeria have bowed out of the 2021 edition of the tournament following their 3-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in their final Group E fixture.

The Desert Foxes needed nothing short of victory during the Thursday evening, January 20, encounter for a chance to progress to the next round of the continental tournament.

This is after they kicked off the competition on a frustrating note, managing just a point in two of their opening fixtures.
