Al Ahly coach, Pitso Mosimane, has been nominated for another prestigious award, but this time it isn’t for football.
The Al Ahly coach has been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in the Favourite African Star category, The South African reported.
Other South Africans nominated in the same category are Focalistic, Major League DJz and Makhadzi, The Citizen confirmed. This is the first time that Pitso has been nominated for the award.
Pitso’s agency, MT Sports, took to Twitter to confirm Pitso’s nomination and ask fans to vote for him. The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards will be broadcast on NickToons (DStv Channel 308) and Nickelodeon (DStv channel 305) on 13 April.
Fans can show their support for Pitso by visiting kca.nickelodeon.tv and casting a vote for the Al Ahly coach.
Pitso is no stranger to winning awards and recently was named the Best African coach by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Alhy claimed their second consecutive bronze medal at the FIFA Club World Cup and the South African government has taken notice, Sports Brief earlier reported.
Mosimane continues to show why he’s the greatest coach South Africa has ever produced and as he led the Egyptian club to another achievement. Pitso’s performances with Al Ahly has caught the eye of numerous clubs and national teams who chased his signature and it earned Pitso a new contract offer from Al Ahly.
But the South African government has also sat up and taken notice of Pitso’s achievements. The Department of International Relations and Cooperation awarded Pitso with a special Sports Diplomacy award at the Ubuntu Awards.
