  • Jordan Ayew has tested negative in his latest COVID-19 test ahead of Ghana's doubleheader against Nigeria
  • The 30-year-old was named in coach Otto Addo's 27-man squad to face their Nigerian counterparts
  • Meanwhile, the Black Stars have arrived in Kumasi as they continue their preparations for the all-important clash with Nigeria

Ghana and Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew has returned negative COVID-19 results as revealed by the Communications Directorate of the Ghana Football Association.

Ayew, who is a key member of the Black Stars team, missed out on Crystal Palace's English FA Cup game against Everton over the weekend after he tested positive for COVID-19.

However, it appears coach Otto Addo will be heaving a huge sigh of relief following the recent development of Jordan Ayew's COVID status.

Ayew will look to add to his 18 goals scored in 73 caps for Ghana when the Black Stars wrestle for one of Africa's five tickets for the World Cup against Nigeria in the coming days.

Ghana will host their Nigerian counterparts on March 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before heading to Abuja for the return leg four days later at the Moshood Abiola National Sports Stadium.
