Players of the senior national team, the Black Stars, have landed in Kumasi ahead of the World Cup play-off against Nigeria.

The team led by coach Otto Addo will move to their base before training later on Tuesday night as preparations continue for the big game.

In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the team looks set with the players eager for the game on Friday.

The Black Stars will hold two more training sessions before coach Otto Addo will meet the press on Thursday.

Ghana will engage the Super Eagles in the first leg on Friday March 25, before travelling to Abuja four days later for the second-leg.

The winner of the two-legged encounter will qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

Otto Addo names squad to face Nigeria

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that interim Black Stars coach Otto Addo belatedly announced his squad to cross swords with West African neighbours Nigeria.

Otto Addo announced his squad in a press conference after what was described as a 'special strategy' by the Ghana Football Association to keep the squad close to their chest before today.

Ghana will cross swords with Nigeria in the all-important World Cup playoffs on March 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the first leg before heading to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja four days later.

Elisha Owusu delighted with Black Stars invite

KAA Gent midfielder Elisha Owusu is over the moon after earning his maiden Black Stars invitation ahead of the upcoming double-header against Nigeria.

The Olympique Lyonnais academy product was a surprise inclusion in Otto Addo's 27-man squad for the blockbuster clash later this week.

In a video spotted by Sports Brief on YouTube, the former Black Stars assistant coach expressed his readiness to help the Black Stars advance to the World Cup in Qatar.
