Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has revealed Presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu is the reason behind why he calls Lagos home.
Okocha was amongst other retired Super Eagles players, including Nwankwo Kanu, Taribo West, and Victor Ikpeba, who had visited the former Lagos State Governor at his residence.
According to a report via Daily Post, Okocha hailed Bola Tinubu as the leader of all leaders as the politician celebrated his 70th birthday.
Bola Tinubu who was the Governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007 had hosted a novelty game between the former Nigeria internationals to celebrate his birthday.
The All Progressive Congress chieftain has declared his ambition to run for the Presidency of Nigeria in the 2023 elections.
Okocha captains former Super Eagles players to victory against Team Lagos
Meanwhile, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha wore the captain's armband as former Super Eagles players cruised to a 2-0 victory over Team Lagos in celebration of the 70th birthday of Bola Tinubu.
According to the Vanguard, Victor Agali scored two goals in the novelty game with Okocha assisting the striker with his second strike.
Other players involved in the novelty game include Julius Aghahowa, Garba Lawal, Mutiu Adepoju, Victor Ikpeba, and Nwankwo Kanu.
