Super Eagles coach Eguavoen has ignored Ogenyi Onazi and called Bonke Innocent as replacement for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi for clash against Ghana.
Wilfred Ndidi who is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League sustained an injury while playing for Leicester City which ruled him out of the World Cup final play-off against the Black Stars.
Ogenyi Onazi who is on the standby list has been tipped before to get the chance as replacement for Ndidi, but coach Eguavoen decided to go for Bonke Innocent.
According to the confirmation made by the Super Eagles, they wished Wilfred Ndidi quick recovery from his injury.
The Leicester City star will now hope that Nigeria qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar so that he can be part of the squad that will represent the nation.
