With fast-spreading calls for his inclusion in the yet to be named Black Stars squad, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe believes such a call should be left to the technical team.

“Don’t push him to the Black Stars. If he feels like doing it, he will offer himself." The experienced football administrator told Accra based radio station Asempa FM.

Dr Tamakloe was, however, quick to note that Muntari will deliver should he receive a chance to return to the senior men's national team.

“And when he gets there, he’s a hardworking boy and he will deliver,” he added.

Ghana will play the first of the two-legged affair with Nigeria on Friday, March 25, at the Cape Coast stadium, with the reverse fixture staged at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on March 29.

According to multiple reports on the local media landscape, Sulley will not join the current league champions in their away trip to Dormaa.

The 37-year-old is reported to have cited the long-distance to the match venue as the reason behind his decision not to travel with the club.
