Spanish giants Barcelona on Thursday night, 10 March, failed to score at the Camp Nou as Turkish side Galatasaray forced them to a goalless draw in the first leg of their Europa League battle.
Going into this encounter, Barcelona fans were expecting their players to decimate their opponents at the Camp Nou, but the Catalans were unable to find the back of the net.
Barcelona started the match impressively with Pedri locating Aubameyang with a fantastic pass in the 11th minute, but the Gabonese striker was unable to score.
Five minutes later, Berkan Kutiu had a chance to give the visitors the lead at the Camp Nou when he was set up by Marcao, but his shot was parried away by goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
How did they end the first half of this Europa League tie?
Despite all efforts by Barcelona players to find the back of the net in the first half, they were unable to get the breakthrough as it ended goalless.
Xavi and his men came out with more attacking styles in the second half looking for goal, but they did not get it as the tie ended 0-0 at the Camp Nou.
As things stand now, Barcelona will hope that they get good result in the return leg in Turkey.
