Ghana has been handed a huge boost ahead of the clash against Nigeria with the news that goalkeeper Richard Ofori is finally back from injury.
The Orlando Pirates shot-stopper suffered a shoulder injury in September 2021 while in action for Ghana in a crucial game against South Africa, instead watching on from the sidelines as the Black Stars endured their worst campaign at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in recent memory.
The 28-year-old was replaced by Swindon goalkeeper Jojo Wallocot who had decent World Cup qualifiers but struggled at the Nations Cup, conceding five goals as Ghana exited at the group stage.
Ofori has now returned to full fitness with his South African side and was on the bench for the Soweto derby over the weekend as he is working his way back from the injury setback.
Ghana monitoring 15 goalkeepers
Richard Kingston, the goalkeeper's coach of the senior national team, revealed that he is monitoring 15 Ghanaian goalkeepers before this month's World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria.

According to the 43-year-old, he has been scouting a lot of goalkeepers on the continent, including West Ham prodigy Joseph Annan.
The Black Stars trainer currently works with Jojo Wollacot, Richard Attah of Hearts of Oak, and St Gallen's Richard Ati Zigi. The team also had Manaf Nurudeen of KAS Eupen at the Nations Cup.
