Former Germany international, Sami Khedira is surprised Kevin-Prince Boateng could not reach his full potential after showing enormous talent during their formative days.

Sami Khedira, a World Cup winner in 2014, started his career with the Hertha Berlin star at the same time and were both in the Germany youth national teams.

The former Real Madrid midfielder, in an interview with ESPN Podcast, spoke highly of the Ghanaian and insisted he could have been one of the best.

"I always said that this guy would be in the top five in the world. We were 15 at the time and he was better than everyone else. He could play in any position: whether as a striker, Sixers or even as a goalkeeper," he said as quoted by
"He was strong in finishing, could score goals with his head and was technically adept, but it's about mentality," added Khedira.

Kevin-Prince Boateng returned to Germany to join his boyhood club Hertha Berlin in the summer transfer window after a career globetrotting around Europe.

The former Ghana striker has played for 13 clubs in 16 years, including Italian giants AC Milan and Spanish La Liga heavyweights Barcelona.

Kevin-Prince Boateng to venture into acting after football

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is ready to star in his debut acting role with Hollywood superstar, Sylvester Stallone.

In an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della sera, Boateng revealed that the movie will centre around his life after football and stated his intentions to work on the acting project with the movie star.

Kevin-Prince Boateng signed a one year deal with Hertha Berlin at the start of the season and could leave in the summer.
