- Hertha Berlin midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng is planning on acting in a movie with American actor Sylvester Stallone
- The former AC Milan playmaker disclosed that he is set to film that movie that focuses on his life after football and is in his discussion with the Hollywood star
- Stallone has already acted in a movie with football stars, including Pele in the famous soccer movie, Escape to Victory in 1981
Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng is ready to star in his debut acting role with Hollywood superstar, Sylvester Stallone.
In an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere della sera, Boateng revealed that the movie will centre around his life after football and stated his intentions to work on the acting project with the movie star.
Boateng said:
"A friendship has been formed with him and I'm working on a TV series inspired by my life is, but not about football,”
"We are considering [Sylvester] Stallone as the narrator and that we both take on small roles. We want to show the pain and wounds it takes to be successful.”
Football stars who appeared in movies
Boateng will join a list of football stars who made it on the screens. Three-time FIFA Player of the year, Ronaldo made his on-screen debut in an episode of The Simpsons in 2007, whiles the likes of Pele, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and recently, Neymar, have also been involved in acting in the past.
This is not be the first time Sylvester Stallone will be working a footballer in a movie. The American actor starred alongside Pele in the famous soccer movie, Escape to Victory in 1981, which also included soccer stars, Bobby Moore, Osvaldo Ardiles, Werner Roth, and Hallvar Thoresen.
