Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum has revealed Black Stars gaffer Otto Addo is in touch with Mohammed Salisu ahead of the all-important clash with Nigeria.
The Black Stars will reignite their long-standing rivalry with their West African neighbours in the final eliminator of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.
After a poor showing in the Africa Cup of Nations, the senior men's national team would want to redeem their image with a qualification to the global Mundial.
Ahead of the game, many players have been mooted to be named in the final squad for the cliffhanger.

FootballHenry Asante, the official spokesperson of the football federation, revealed Otto Addo wants to assemble the best set of players for the national assignment which includes Salisu.
The 22-year-old defender is yet to be capped at the senior level for Ghana and with his brilliant performances in the English top-flight, it comes as no surprise he is on the radar of Otto Addo.
Speaking on the subject matter Asante Twum could not confirm whether he will be on Addo's final list for the Nigeria showdown but reckoned the coach is in touch with him.
"I cannot confirm whether Mohammed Salisu will be invited but the coach [Otto Addo] is in contact with him." Twum told Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
Ghana will host their perennial rivals on March 25 in Cape Coast before heading to Abuja in four days' time in Abuja.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohammed Salisu has been named in former Newcastle United forward Alan Shearer's English Premier League Team of the Week.
Shearer's team is the official squad for the Premier League every week, and the Ghanaian youngster is appearing for the third time.
In the team released on Twitter by the official handle of the Premier League, the youngster lines up with Aston Villa's Tyrone Ming's in the heart of the defence.
