FootballAccording to the report on BBC, Robert Whippe directed two tweets featuring monkey and banana emojis at the former England player over his commentary after the EURO 2020 final.
Rio Ferdinand was said to have spotted the tweets and was heartbreaking which forced him to inform the police who then carried out proper investigation.
The report added that the police traced Robert Whippe with the help of a device which revealed his location and was called for questioning.
England were tipped to win the EURO 2020 tournament, but they lost on penalties against Italy and the defeat was a painful one to all English people.
