Senegal capped their recent football scalp with an infrastructure masterstroke following the inauguration of the ultra-modern stadium edifice named after former leader Abdoulaye Wade.

The 50,000 seater stadium witnessed its first-ever football game which was played between football legends across Africa and their counterparts from Senegal.

But before the commencement of the game, there was a superb keepy-uppy by the Senegalese legends displaying their timeless football tricks.

In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, former Liverpool and Bolton star Diouf, and three of his former Senegalese teammates underlined the cliché class is permanent.

The 24-second video posted by the official Twitter handle of Senegal's football federation showcases the timeless football skills of the legends which were done effortlessly despite their age.

What were the results of the exhibition game?

The exhibition game between Senegal football heroes and legends across Africa ended in a one-all draw at the newly built Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio.

Khalilou Fadiga scored the first-ever goal at the venue with a sublime left-footed strike outside the box before legendary Nigeria international Jay Jay Okocha equalized from an assist by former Togolese skipper Emmanuel Adebayor.

The game lasted for 30 minutes but was blessed by the crème de la crème of African stars who have earned their rights as legends of the sport both on the continent and the world at large.

Khalilou Fadiga becomes first-ever player to score at new Senegal stadium

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Khalilou Fadiga still has that powerful strikes that characterized his playing career after unleashing a belter in the inaugural game between Senegal football heroes and African football legends.

The former Coventry City player scored the first-ever goal at the new Senegal stadium in Diamniadio on Tuesday, February 22.

In a video posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the left-footed player took on Cameroonian legend Geremi Njitap before firing from almost 30 yards to open the scoring.
