The government of Ghana has approved the Black Stars technical team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup playoff against Nigeria.
The Ghana Football Association has settled on Otto Addo as the head coach of the Black Stars with Chris Highton acting as the technical advisor.
The German-trained coach will be assisted by George Boateng and Mas Ud Didi Dramani as Ghana prepares for the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.
After days of back and forth between the FA and the Sports Ministry, the federation finally announced the new technical team on their official website.
And after weeks of the announcement, a management committee member of the Black Stars, Alhaji Grunsah, has confirmed that the GFA and the Sports Ministry have been in touch and the appointment has been formalized.
“According to the Ghana FA president, Kurt Okraku the Ministry has approved the appointment”, Grunsah told Happy FM.
Former Ghana Players Handed Black Stars Management Roles
Stephen Appiah and Samuel Osei Kuffuor have been included in a newly constituted Black Stars management committee following the dissolution of the previous body after the AFCON disaster.
The former Black Stars captain and the Bayern Munich legend are joined by four other members with GFA Vice president, Mark Addo, the chairman of the committee.
The newly formed committee is expected to take care of all activities around the Black Stars including their day to day management.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingston has tipped his former teammate Sulley Muntari to return to the Black Stars for the upcoming World Cup playoff against Nigeria.
Coach Otto Addo's team will lock horns with the Super Eagles in the first leg of the final hurdle for the FIFA World Cup playoffs on March 25 at Cape Coast Stadium with the return leg scheduled for Abuja four days later.
And ahead of the fierce contest, Kingston, who is now the current goalkeeper's coach for Ghana, is backing the UEFA Champions League winner to earn a call up to the team.
