All is set for Ghana’s showdown with Nigeria in the final qualifying round for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Last month, the Black Stars were drawn against the Super Eagles to battle for one of five African slots for this year’s global showdown.
Unfortunately, it will mean that one of Africa’s top sides will not be present at this year’s FIFA World Cup.
Ahead of the two-legged encounter, CAF has confirmed that the first meeting should be played on Thursday, March 24, 2022.
That game is set to be staged at the Cape Coast Stadium after plans to play the match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium went south.
Subsequently, Ghana must travel to Nigeria on Sunday, March 27, 2022, for the second leg of the clash. That clash will be honoured at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.
The winner at the end of the two legs will secure a place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament scheduled to be played in Qatar.
