Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo admits he is inspired by Premier League legends Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry.

The 22-year-old is enjoying a blistering season at Bristol City this season, scoring six goals and making ten assists in just 17 appearances.

Still in the budding stages of his career, his playing style has already prompted fans to draw comparisons with Arsenal great Thierry Henry.

And the 22-year-old forward has admitted that he is a huge fan of the Arsenal talisman and Chelsea icon Drogba when he was growing up, and says he draws inspiration from the two legends of the game.

In an exclusive interview with Skysports, Semenyo said:

"In terms of my link-up play I loved watching (Didier) Drogba."

"For running in behind Thierry Henry. They are the perfect examples of both. Drogba's link-up play was unreal, and with Henry's pace and power, he literally had everything. I try to model the two sides of my game around them.

"In terms of who I'm a bit closer to in terms of my game I'd say Drogba.

Ghana FA in talks with Semenyo over nationality switch

The Ghana Football Association has taken the initiative to convince English-born striker Antoine Semenyo to represent Ghana at the international level.

The London-born forward, who plays for Bristol City has been in good form in the English championship, raising the eyebrows of the federation.

According to reports, the 22-year-old has agreed to play for the Black Stars of Ghana pending approval from the Federation of International Football (FIFA).
