FootballFed Up Kaizer Chiefs Fan Starts Change.org Petition Demanding That Coach Stuart Baxter Be Fired
- In a display of frustration and desperation, an annoyed Kaizer Chiefs fans has started a petition demanding a change of coach
- The petition, on Change.org, implores Kaizer Chiefs management to show current coach Stuart Baxter the door
- The supporter hopes to reach the threshold of 7 500 signatures, which is what the website claims could get a reaction from Kaizer Chiefs
A Kaizer Chiefs fan has taken matters into his own hands with possible solutions to the coaching situation at his beloved club.
Senzo Sambo went onto famous petitioning website Change.org to set up one demanding for the sacking of current coach Stuart Baxter. The Amakhosi were recently bundled out of the Nedbank Cup by nemesis TS Galaxy, ensuring the ignominy of a seventh consecutive year without a trophy.
Sambo believed that sacking the Englishman would be to the benefit of the majority of the club's supporters. He is hoping to reach 7 500 signatories, with almost 6 000 having been acquired at the time of publication.
He added in the petition:
"As Kaizer Chiefs supporters we are tired. Our health is being affected. We love Kaizer Chiefs and it hurts seeing us in this state. We really need to start playing football with the hope of dominating games."
"Hopefully the management gets hold of this petition and considers all the solutions brought by supporters on this petition. We also hope to get a reply from the club."
Sports Brief has reported that Baxter is seemingly safe despite the ground the shifting beneath his feet regarding fans of the club.
The Citizen quoted an unnamed source as saying:
“The coach won’t be fired any time soon. But the deal is that this has to be the rebuilding phase and next season the chairman is expecting the trophy drought to end or heads will roll."
"Baxter has the best Chiefs squad in a while and a lot is expected from him – some of his contract deliverables include bringing in silverware."
