FootballAnxiety at Old Trafford As 3 Big European Clubs Prepare Bid to Sign Cristiano Ronaldo From Manchester United
- Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Manchester United amid reports that several clubs are jostling for his signature
- Reports earlier claimed the player is already disillusioned at Old Trafford and could quit the Premier League club
- Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and AS Roma are reportedly interested in signing the 37-year-old this summer
There is anxiety at Old Trafford as a number of clubs are interested in Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo whose contract will not lapse until next year, Daily Star reports.
Reports claim the 37-year-old is considering quitting the Premier League club despite joining them just last summer.
It was gathered that European giants Bayern Munich, AS Roma and Paris Saint-Germain are all preparing their respective bids for the Portuguese striker.
Although he has ended his goal drought scoring in United’s 2-0 win over Brighton on Tuesday night, reports say all is not well with Ronaldo’s camp at Old Trafford as he has become disillusioned in Manchester.
A source told The Sun:
"[Ronaldo] would love nothing more than to win trophies at United, but at the moment that seems like it’s going to be a struggle.
"He doesn’t want to spend the last couple of years of his stellar career in mid-table. Some big clubs are monitoring the situation and have put the feelers out already."
With Kylian Mbappe set to join Real Madrid in the summer, PSG looks the most likely destination for Ronaldo - a move that would see him link up with eternal rival Lionel Messi.
Condition to stay at Man Utd
Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly ready to stay at Man United beyond the summer but only if the Red Devils secure Champions League football.
The Old Trafford dwellers are in danger of ending the season without a trophy with the side already out of the FA Cup and momentarily sit fourth on the Premier League standings.

Sports Brief earlier reported that Manchester United pipped Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 in the English Premier League on Tuesday evening thanks to a spectacular strike by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 37-year-old headed into the game having scored 14 goals in 26 games this season for the Red Devils.
However, the former Real Madrid superstar endured his worst goal duck for more than a decade after playing 587 minutes without hitting the back of the net.
