  • Burnley vs Liverpool will see the Reds push to close the gap with Man City in their Premier League title push
  • The Reds currently sit second on the EPL standings with 51 points, a massive 12 points behind leaders City
  • Burnley, on the other hand, find themselves bottom of the log after a frustrating run of results that has seen them win just one of their last 20 matches

Liverpool will be looking to close the gap with Man City when they take on relegation candidates, Burnley, at Turf Moor on Sunday, February 13.

The Reds currently sit second on the standings with 51 points, 12 behind leaders, and Man City who demolished Norwich 4-0 in their own fixture.

The 2021/22 season has been one to forget for Burnley who have won just one of their 20 games thus far this term.

Their poor run of form has seen them collect a paltry 14 points, with the tally leaving them rock-bottom in the top-flight.

Liverpool beat the Clarets 2-0 in the reverse fixture played at Anfield back in August, with Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane on target.

Liverpool and Burnley team news

Sean Dyche does not have any new injury concerns ahead of Liverpool's visit at Turf Moor.

However, three first-team players (Charlie Taylor, Johann Berg Gudmundsson, and Matej Vydra) are unavailable for selection

Dyche is expected to stick to his usual 4-4-2 formation, with Nick Pope an automatic pick between the sticks.

In the Liverpool camp, Jurgen Klopp has a full-strength squad at his disposal, with both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah available.

However, the clash could be too soon for Mane who recently helped Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations.

Possible starting X1:

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Jota, Diaz

Burnley: Pope; Roberts, Mee, Tarkowski, Pieters; McNeil, Westwood, Brownhill, Cornet; Weghorst, Rodriguez
